My practice: world building, bringing stories to life (character and
background design)
I’ve always focussed on 2D digital art but hope to expand my horizons
over the next few months and try Maya. This is I could potentially start to
model environments and definitely so I can block out scenes. I’ve been toying
with texture artist for the future? I’m making Maya necessary to my LAUAN603 so
that I learn it.
Skill set:
Academically- I’m confident at writing e.g. COP.
Pre production, but I’ve a lot to improve on. I need to improve my painting
skills (lighting, colour, perspective etc) and technical understanding of Maya.
Future: I’m pretty set on finding a job within a studio, most likely not
in Leeds but around London initially so that I can commute easily.
Online Presence:
Instagram – Uploads are sporadically, I should upload more of my
developmental thumbnails even if I think they’re rubbish.
LinkedIn - I’m pretty inactive so that needs work, but I keep all
professional platforms away from personal accounts which is good.
My showreel is now irrelevant to my practice, so I need to create a good
body of work for my visual development portfolio. When I have more work I will
put a website in motion.
